Bio

Rock-pop artist Keri Edwards, with her soulful powerhouse vocals and Americana influences, is having a second coming of age. Fresh-faced in her forties and a new season of life, she is just now fully embracing her music again. Her songs in this chapter go deeply into a life lived, with all of the experiences, questions asked, hearts won and lost, victories and defeats — and lessons learned.

A woman of passion and reflection, with a fierce independent streak, she is at the same time a true romantic at heart. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, she isn’t afraid to speak the truth —whether she is whole or broken. Keri is an entertainer who comes alive on stage, eager to share and sing her stories to her audience. With a guitar in hand, her powerful belt, and lyrics in her heart, she’ll laugh and cry as she invites you into her world of life, love, loss, and discovery.

Not a newcomer to music, she put a career in Nashville with some notable achievements early on — on hold to raise a family. Her list of industry achievements include publishing successes with single song contracts for four songs, three of which were recorded in Nashville by the late actress/singer Robin Griggs, a production deal offer from a Nashville based minor record label in 2001, being a special guest in attendance at Alan Jackson's platinum celebration for When Somebody Loves You, and opening for the band Lone Star at the American Music Theater with her father Stu Huggens. She released two faith based projects during her time as a military spouse: Me and Jesus (LP) and Be Still (EP). During that time, she was recognized as an advanced songwriter in NSAI's (Nashville Songwriters' Association International) Dayton and Cincinnati, OH chapters and was invited to participate in an official capacity as a panelist on their Advanced Critique Panel.

During the pandemic she decided to release her first single, Wait for Grace, followed by the release of three singles: I am WOMAN, Releasing You and Wild and Dreamin'. I am WOMAN was selected as the theme song for the Equal Means Equal civil rights organization. Her next single Fall For You is featured in the independent film Letters to Freedom (filmmaker Joshua Williams), scheduled for release around the same time.

Keri's music is played on independent radio stations My Rural Radio and iHeart's Music 2 Dance 2 Radio. She’s been nominated as Female Artist of the Year two years in a row in the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards (courtesy of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame), and Song of the Year as the Mid-Michigan NSAI Chapter Challenge Winner for NSAI's annual Chapter Challenge Song Contest. She was also the runner up in the San Francisco, CA NSAI Chapter for the Chapter Challenge.

When she’s not gigging around her hometown of Lancaster, PA, she can be found with her guitar writing songs in her grandfather’s afghan draped recliner in the corner of her sunny yellow music room. Here, she finds inspiration, immersing herself in writing and plans for her long-awaited debut album. Now that the door to her music is open again, the wheels are in full gear and Keri is in the process of honing her sound and stories in a season of rediscovery, reuniting with her love of music.

One thing is certain: as she dives deeper into this new chapter of her life, she finds reflection and evolution as a woman, a songwriter, and an artist. She looks forward to bringing her new music to you. Until then she’ll be playing around town, guitar slung over her shoulder, singing her guts out, and getting ready to share her truths with you.
